MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a non-invasive medical imaging technique that uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images of the body’s internal structures, particularly soft tissues. This helps physicians identify and evaluate abnormalities and aid in more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Benefits of MRI:

  • Highly detailed: MRI is especially useful for imaging soft tissues like the brain, muscles, tendons and ligaments. MRI plays a significant role in assisting of diagnoses related to neurological deficits including tumors, masses and stroke.
  • Non-invasive and safe: Due to its use of magnetic fields, MRI is primarily safe for most patients under the right conditions.
  • Multiple angles and contrasts: MRI provides images in multiple plans (i.e. horizontal and vertical) offering a comprehensive view of the area being scanned.
