CT

Computed Tomography is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses X-rays to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. By combining multiple X-rays taken from different angles, a CT scan can generate 3D images of bones, organs, and tissues, providing greater detail than standard radiographs. This helps physicians assess internal injuries, identify tumors, monitor disease progression, and guide medical interventions, making it an essential tool for both emergency and routine care.

Benefits of CT:

  • Detailed images: CT scans offer highly detailed images of bones, organs, and soft tissues, making it ideal for diagnosing fractures, tumors, and internal bleeding.
  • Fast and non-invasive: CT scans are quick, often completed within minutes, making them useful in emergency situations like stroke and trauma.
  • Comprehensive Diagnosis: CT can detect a wide range of conditions including cancer, infections, vascular diseases, and lung or heart conditions.
  • Guided Treatment: CT scans assist in planning surgeries, biopsies, or radiation therapy by providing precise images of the affected area.
